The SKBBK (Lindung 24 Jam) contribution is now voluntary for local employees, but it remains mandatory for foreign workers. The scheme provides 24/7 non-occupational accident protection
To MY employees:
If you are a local employee and choose to opt out of the scheme, you must submit an official declaration to release PERKESO and your employer from liability for non-workplace accidents
You can complete the process digitally by logging into the PERKESO i-Akaun or via the dedicated Lindung 24 Jam portal, select the opt-out option (Saya memilih untuk tidak menyertai Skim LINDUNG 24 Jam), and submit.
You need to inform your HR after PERKESO informs you that you have opted out successfully.
To MY admins:
We have released a feature to allow admins to skip SKBBK contribution for employees without affecting the employee regular SOCSO contribution.
Method 1
Head to Profiles > Employee Listing > Statutory Details > Contribute SOCSO Lindung 24 Jam
Method 2: Bulk Update via Google Sheets
#1. Go to Profiles > Manage My Database > Employee Listing > Export > Export Employees to export current data in Excel format
#3. Update the Contribute SOCSO Lindung 24 Jam and update to No for the relevant employees and ensure Employee ID, First Name, and Last Name match exactly to avoid creating duplicates.
Return to Talenox and click "Import" to push changes through
Why did we build this?
On 8th July, the Cabinet has dropped the mandatory contribution requirement for the Social Security Organisation's (Socso) newly launched Lindung 24 Jam scheme, deciding that it be voluntary instead, with immediate effect.
When an employee has more than one job, they may only need to contribute SKBBK through one employer. Before this change, SKBBK was tied directly to SOCSO and was always included from June 2026 when SOCSO applied.
This would allow them to skip SKBBK contribution when processing payroll 2026.
