How does LINDUNG 24 JAM affects SOCSO calculation in Talenox

The new SOCSO calculation is based on the employee's monthly wages, similar to existing SOCSO contributions. Skim Kemalangan Bencana Bukan Pekerjaan (SKBBK)

Written by Chee Hian Chng

Skim Kemalangan Bencana Bukan Pekerjaan (SKBBK) (LINDUNG 24 JAM) is introduced to provide round-the-clock protection for eligible employees throughout their employment period, including coverage for accidents that occur outside working hours and are not directly related to their job or duties.

Contributions are fully borne by employees. Employee contribution rates will be implemented in phases:

Phase 1 (2026 – 2027 (First 2 years)

0.75%

2028 – 2030

1.0%

2031 onwards

1.25%

Non-Employment Injury amounts are added on top of existing EE contributions for both Category 1 (EIS + Invalidity) and Category 2 (EIS only).

Category 2 employees who previously had zero EE contribution now contribute the Non-Employment Injury amount.
