Toggling between dates would help users identify past and future leave entitlements

The following are some frequently asked questions that we often encounter:

  1. How can I check my upcoming leave entitlements for the last year or next month?

  2. Can I check my leave balance for a specific date in the past to verify my previous entitlements?

  3. My balance is X amount this year, why? Last year my carry forward should be this X amount.

  4. The employee has just passed her 3 months. Carry forward from the last 3 months last year should be X days, but it is showing X days. Also, the base entitlement for this year should be X as they are still in their first year, but it is showing X number of days.


Step-by-Step on How To Toggle between Dates in Leave Balances Summary Page

You can review leave balances for your whole company of employees as of a specific date in the system through the steps below:

1) Head to Leave > Leave Balances

2) You’ll be brought to the Leave Balance Summary Page

3) In this page, click on the “View Balance for <Date>” section

4) You’ll be able to toggle between dates by clicking on either these 2 arrow buttons to move between past or future dates:

Step-by-step on how to Toggle between Dates in Individual Employee Leave Balances Page

If you are inside the employee’s leave balance page, you can also toggle between dates to view their past and future leave entitlements.

Follow the steps below to learn how to toggle between dates for convenient viewing of employee leave balance calculation and proration:

1) Under the “View leave balance for” section, the current date should be showing - this is the date on which leave balances have been calculated according to the leave balance breakdown

2) Click on the current ‘date’ showing

3) A dropdown calendar should appear for you to select any Month and Year to view the leave balances as of the date selected

4) After selecting a specific date, you can then review the leave balances showing for your employee and see the leave breakdown calculations to understand how balances are calculated
