How to Set Up in Talenox for Casual Employees (Industry Scheme)?

In the Employee Profile, you can choose this option for Casual Employees:

"Casual" contribution uses a different formula than "Regular" contribution.

The formula is as below:

Step 1: Calculate Daily contributions ~ "Relevant income earned in a wage period / No. of working days in the wage period".

Step 2: Calculate total contributions ~ "Daily contributions x No. of working days in the wage period"

Then, the calculated amount follows the "Contribution Scale", found in MPFA website.

Check out the example below to understand how MPF is calculated for casual employees:

Employee's salary: HK$1,650.00

Days worked in June: Monday & Thursday

Total worked days in June: 8 days

Step 1:

= Relevant income earned in a wage period / No. of working days in the wage period

= HK$1,650 (in June) / 8 working days in June

= HK$206.25

Since HK$206.25 falls under the "Less than $280" category:

Step 2:

Total contributions ~ "Daily contributions x No. of working days in the wage period"

= $10 x 8 working days

= $80.00
