If you have just started using Talenox Singapore and you want to ensure that statutory amount for past months tally with the actual amount paid out previously, you can do a quick statutory adjustments. This means that you can amend past Foreign Worker Levy (FWL), Skills Development Levy (SDL) and CPF directly in Payroll.

To do this, just head to Payroll Settings > Month Total > Select the correct month > Edit Statutory Details and edit the corresponding amounts:

Thereafter, you can edit the specific statutory amount for your employees. Here's a sample screenshot:

Why Can't I Edit SHG Amounts from Edit Statutory Details?

The SHG contribution amounts cannot be edited in the "Edit Statutory Details" section to maintain compliance with statutory requirements and to ensure the accuracy of calculations.

These figures are derived from legal and regulatory formulas, and manual intervention could potentially introduce errors resulting in incorrect filings.

However if an edit to the amount is required due to rectifying mistakes, a workaround for you to do if you want to have a custom amount processed for a particular month, is to:

  1. Set the Custom SHG Amount under the Employee's Profile

  2. Re-process that particular month

  3. Revert back to automatic SHG, or Statutory Default.

  4. Process the next month as per usual.

The system then will use the "default" for the next month's payment process.
