The following are some of the questions that we often encounter:

  1. How can I configure a different proration calculation method for the Leave Pay item in Talenox?

  2. Where do I find the option to edit the Leave Pay item’s proration settings in the payroll module?

  3. If my company uses a specific proration method (e.g., Working Days), how can I ensure the Leave Pay item follows the same setting by default?

As you may know, to process an incomplete month of payroll for your employee in Talenox, you will first have to select your salary proration option - based on your company's policy:

  • Calendar Days

  • Working Days

You will need to choose 1 of the following options under Profiles > Company Details > Payroll Details:

More on the steps on how to calculate an incomplete month’s salary can be found here:

For Talenox, the Leave Pay item should be following this current setting by default.

However, if you want the Leave Pay item to use a different proration calculation method, this is possible.

Head over to any of your existing payments under Payroll > View/ Edit Payments > View

Go to Select Pay Item > Custom Pay item

Search for Leave Pay and click on the pay item

Under Proration Calculation, you can select the proration setting you want your Leave Pay item to follow:
