For companies that report earnings and pay tax in Malaysia, claims that are made by employees must come attached with an e-invoice.

This is to ensure companies have proof of purchase when including claims in their report.

How to set E-invoicing as Mandatory?

For Admins, in Talenox, you can set E-invoice submission as mandatory when submitting expenses.

Head over to Claims > Expense Policies

There are 2 ways you can enable this:

  1. Enable it when you create and Add Policies

  2. Edit your current Policies and enable it

Either each 2 ways you do it, scroll down and you will see a section named Malaysia E-Invoice.

You can toggle the button on to ensure that E-invoice is mandatory when submitting an expense.

That's how simple it is to toggle E-Invoice as mandatory in your Expense Policies!

How to submit E-invoice in Claims as Admin/User?

You can create an expense as an Admin under Claims > Admin Expense > Add Expense

For employees, you can create an expense as a User under Claims > My Expenses > Add Expense

From here, you can select your Policy which already has the E-Invoice submission set as mandatory enabled.

Once selected, you will see a section named Malaysia E-Invoice, here you can see that this submission requires E-Invoice information to be entered into the fields.

There are 2 mandatory fields under Malaysia E-Invoice section:

  1. E-Invoice URL

  2. E-Invoice Validation Date

To learn more about E-invoice requirements, you can click on the Learn more button.

To find your E-Invoice URL, you can scan the QR code on your invoice and it will redirect you to the E-invoice URL in which you use to enter into E-Invoice URL and it’s Validation Date.

That’s how easy it is to submit your E-Invoice expenses. 🙂
